whenever you think of a meal you’d like to make, take 3 seconds to google search it, take a screenshot of the image results, and put it in a “food ideas” folder. instant visual menu!
if you’re on instagram, there are a bajillion different recipe accounts that post videos! a few of my favorites: jipsoon_kitchen, eatwitzo, cordandthekitchen, chungeats, tiffy.cooks, two_plaid_aprons
This is all great!
I got this website from a nutritionist and it’s become my absolute favorite way to find new recipes. The search filter options are fantastic! Sorting by method really helps me because I think that’s what makes the biggest difference in how much energy you need.
And here are some other ideas for low/medium energy meals:
Cottage cheese with crackers, fruits and/or veggies.
Guacamole with veggies and/or tortilla chips
Chickpeas/garbanzo beans with tzatziki. You could add rice, lettuce/spinach, and/or pita.
Buffalo cauliflower with yogurt dip. You can roast or microwave the cauliflower, top it with hot sauce, and add bleu cheese or shredded cheddar on top.
it’s so bizarre when animated American films are set in a certain location and then only certain characters have the accents of that place. It makes no damn sense!! like
WHY IS SHE MORE FRENCH THAN THE REST OF THEM???
WHY ARE THESE GUYS MORE SCOTTISH THAN THE KIDS??
(also, aren’t they Vikings or something?)
To be fair, almost everyone in Ratatouille does have a French accent. The real question is why Linguini and also all the rats sound intensely American
If it was just the rats I’d say it’s because the movie can be interpreted to mean that the rats understand but don’t necessarily speak human languages so the rat dialog isn’t literally taking place the way we see it but that doesn’t explain why Linguini has a rat accent
the concept and idea of “you can always start trying to be a better person” is extremely important to me both in media and irl and i continue to be deeply deeply disturbed by the trend on this site pushing that these ideas in media are bad writing or even morally reprehensible
because theyd rather someone stay terrible or just straight up die than become a better person
from a compassionate point of view it’s deeply distressing and from a pragmatic point of view it’s outright frustrating
it’s fucked up.
What is the most important step a man can take?
The next.
I think part of the pushback about this is the idea that, to “redeem” bad people, their victims must first forgive them for unforgivable acts.
This is false. No one is obligated to forgive you. You can learn from your mistakes and become the best, kindest person on earth, and the
people you’ve hurt still won’t forgive you, and you’ll have to accept that. And that doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to grow. Because we aren’t just “pure” or “sinful”, we’re complex.
When I was a little kid, my friends and I wanted to perform that “Link, he come to town” song by Joe Pleiman for our school’s talent show, but minutes before we went on-stage, our principal (who was a nun) heard us rehearsing the lyrics which had already been approved by yet another nun, and she took issue with the line “put Ganon in his grave.”
She told us we weren’t allowed to kill Ganon. She suggested the line, “told Ganon to behave.” We were able to negotiate, “put Ganon in a cave.”
The next Zelda game to come out was Twilight Princess, in which Ganon rises again because he was sealed improperly,
and I don’t want to say that Ganon was able to attack once again because Sister Mary Eileen wouldn’t let us kill him, but I’m not not saying that.
